Lectors proclaim the word of God at Mass. The readings on weekends are both from the Old and the New Testament. Lectors usually volunteer for this ministry during our Stewardship of Ministry during Lent. Many also call the church office during the year and offer their talent. All readers are trained prior to reading at a scheduled Mass. Readers are scheduled three months at time. The schedule does allow readers to request a substitute if needed. The readers are assigned according to their preference of which Mass they wish to attend. If you would like to become a reader, call the Church Office at 225 261-4650 and speak with Fr.
